About Darul Makmur

A community mosque in the heart of Yishun, serving worshippers, families and learners for close to four decades.

Our mosque

Masjid Darul Makmur — "the abode of prosperity" — stands along Yishun Avenue 1 as a place of worship, learning and gathering. Each week we welcome more than 4,000 congregants for Friday prayers, alongside hundreds of students, families and volunteers who take part in our classes and community programmes.

Our doors are open to everyone. Whether you are here for daily solat, a religious class, welfare support or simply to learn more about Islam, our staff and asatizah are here to help.

Our history

Milestones in the life of the mosque.

1987
Masjid Darul Makmur opens its doors as part of the Mosque Building Fund's second phase, serving the growing town of Yishun.
1996
The madrasah wing and community classrooms are added, enabling weekend religious classes for children.
2008
First major upgrading works expand the main prayer hall to accommodate over 3,000 Friday worshippers.
2019
Community welfare office established, formalising our zakat, bursary and food aid programmes.
2024
Completion of our redevelopment: new façade with Islamic geometric screens, function spaces and barrier-free access.
2026
Launch of the Darul Makmur digital community platform, bringing our services online for the whole neighbourhood.
